About Jonathan Su

Dr. Jonathan Su is a physical therapist and fitness expert whose mission is to make fitness accessible for everyone, no matter their age, weight, or fitness level.

Dr. Su is co-author of the clinical textbook Netter's Orthopaedic Clinical Examination. He is also author of the bestsellers 6-Minute Fitness at 60+ and 6-Minute Core Strength. Additionally, he is a frequent contributor and panel expert for Bottom Line Personal, the largest-circulation paid consumer newsletter in the United States.

As a former U.S. Army officer, Captain Su was responsible for injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance optimization for over 4,500 active-duty soldiers in the field. This experience helped him develop expertise in tactical fitness and rapid rehabilitation using little to no equipment.

Realizing that fitness is as much a mental game as it is physical, Dr. Su completed a master’s degree in counseling psychology to help his clients overcome mental obstacles that stood in the way of achieving their potential.

Dr. Su also holds credentials as an IAYT yoga therapist and incorporates mindfulness with movement for optimizing health, wellness, and performance. When not busy working with clients or writing, you can find him seeking out new hole-in-the-wall restaurants and spending quality time outdoors with his family.
